Early morning Photoshop Lightroom and Strobist practice
My son came into my office this morning and offered to let me take some photos of him. “For your practice”, he said.
How can you resist an offer like that?
I took a few shots with my 580EX on 1/16 through an umbrella, right on top of him. The camera was on 200 ISO and f5.6 at 1/125; about 58mm focal length. I used a large piece of foam core to lighten the dark side of his face. You can see he still has sleepy seeds in his eyes, and his new racing pajamas on.
Then, just for kicks, I opened them up with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Let me say this, Lightroom may be the next software I buy. I was pretty impressed with the Aperture 2 demo at the Photoshelter NYC Gathering event. But since Lightroom runs on XP, I won’t have to get a Mac. It was a little slow on my laptop, but I could tolerate it. The workflow is so easy.
