Guts and Glamour

I have an idea for an art project which stems from a desire to build my book (from zero) by taking the kind of photos I want to take, compiling them into a photo slide-show set to some kick-ass music and presenting it somewhere – probably the local camera club – and just blow people away.

I’ve discovered that I love take photos of action (snowboarding, skateboarding, motocross, …) and would like to do more glamor work, like fashion, night life and advertising type photography.

I see the images in my mind. I want each image to be bold and dramatic. I want to make the images in my head come to life. I want to feel my passion in an image and share it.

This is my dream.

week 2, day 2… again.

I totally fumbled week 3 and didn’t do any, so I’m on week 2 again. Today is day 2 and I’m not sure my chest muscles will be able to take it..

How to buy a Mac

“Finally got a Mac Book Pro by waiting until the price drop happened on the model being phased out. “

How I did it: I waited and waited and a friend, Mike Desjardins, told me about the price drops on Mac Book Pro laptops after the new model was announced. I just happened to have the cash on hand and did it.

Lessons & tips: Save up and wait until the new models are announced and take advantage of the price drop. These things are expensive enough, there is no reason to finance it, too.

Resources: I found my item on Amazon, offered by J&R Electronics in Brooklyn (I think). But Mac Mall had the same price on the same model.

It took me 3 months.

It made me Feel a little silly
